  • ACCEPTABLE FORMATS
    image
Typewritten: Articles should be typed DOUBLE-SPACED, using upper and lower case letters, on 81/2 x 11 white paper, and pages numbered.

Computer diskette: Any density 3.5 inch diskette formatted for Macintosh or DOS is acceptable. A hard copy must be included to aid in recognizing special characters and formatting. Use word processor software with the document saved in its normal format. Most authors use WordPerfect or Microsoft Word. If using an all-in-one application such as Microsoft Works or AmiPro, save the text portion in a word processor format or plain text (ASCII).

There is no length limit for articles. However, lengthy articles will likely be divided into two parts by the Editor.

References need only be used where the ex act words are taken from an other source or where the idea or concept re-ported was first presented by the source named and is not widely known.

  • PHOTOGRAPHS/ILLUSTRATIONS

Suitable photos or illustrations which support the text and assist reader comprehension are appreciated. Color or black/white photographs are accepted.

Submit photos rather than scans. A properly scanned photo can fill a diskette or two. Provide the photo without blemishes; i.e., don't write on the photo or use paperclips, which can damage the image. Illustrations and graphics can be submitted on diskette. EPS (Encapsulated Postscript) documents work best. Graphics in TIFF (Tagged Information File Format) or other bit-mapped formats are resolution dependent which print coarsely. ITOA does not require graphics to be on diskette. Clean copy or a clearly drawn sketch are acceptable.

  • DEADLINE
