The Illinois Tactical Officers Association in cooperation with the

Illinois State Police D5 Firearms Training Facility is pleased to offer this training opportunity.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  

Due to COVID-19 and safety mandates the Tactical Rifle/Pistol FTX will be limited to no more than 50 officers for the day, in order to adhere to proper social distancing. You must register in order to attend. No walk-in’s accepted. Check-in will be outside on the west range with last check in time being no later than 12:00pm. Shooters will have the ability to run through multiple courses of fire covering the tactical application of the pistol and rifle at their own pace on two separate ranges. Shooters will be able to re-shoot the courses of fire as many as they choose, so long as open space on the firing line is available. Due to COVID-19 social distancing is still required and congregating in groups must be avoided. Please wear your mask upon checking in on the west range.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

• Enhance the officer’s ability to perform Tactical Live Fire techniques and tactics.
• To allow students the opportunity to participate in realistic live fire scenarios that will enhance their capabilities to respond to active threat situations.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Be proficient and familiar with the fundamental safe operation of the duty pistol and police tactical rifle.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Ammunition- 100 Rds. Pistol / 100 Rds. Rifle (Minimum)
• Duty holster & Pistol with spare magazines
• Tactical rifle with sling and chamber blocking device
• Ballistic vest
• Eye & ear protection

• Mask- Please bring a mask for times when social distancing is impractical off the firing line.

COST AND REGISTRATION:

$10 – ITOA Members

 $40 – Non-Members, Includes a one year ITOA Membership
