Tactical Rifle/Pistol FTX Session #2

Times: Group #2:  12:30pm-3:00pm

Location: ISP District 5 Firearms Range Lockport, IL

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  Due to COVID-19 and safety mandates the Tactical Rifle/Pistol FTX will be limited to no more than 15 officers per session, in order to adhere to proper social distancing. You must register for the morning group #1 or for group #2 in the afternoon. No walk-in’s accepted. Participants will arrive for their respective time slot and check-in outside on the west range. You will then be assigned a shooting position by the RSO’s. Shooters will have the ability to run through multiple courses of fire covering the tactical application of the pistol and rifle.       

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

  • Enhance the officer’s ability to perform Tactical Live Fire techniques and tactics
  • To allow students the opportunity to participate in realistic live fire scenarios that will enhance their capabilities to respond to Active Threat situations.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Be proficient and familiar with the fundamental safe operation of the duty pistol and police tactical rifle.

Requirement:

  • Ammunition- 100 Rds. Pistol / 100 Rds. Rifle (Minimum)
  • Duty holster & Pistol with spare magazines
  • Tactical rifle with sling and chamber blocking device
  • Ballistic vest
  • Eye & ear protection
  • Mask- Please bring a mask for times when social distancing is impractical off the firing line.

Cost:   $10 – ITOA Members

            $40 – Non-Members, Includes a one year ITOA Membership

ABOUT ITOA

This is an opportunity for tactical officers to gather together to compare ideas and experiences. Through education and networking, it was hoped that high-risk operations requiring the use of a tactical team would be made safer.
