The seats in this course are divided between POLICE OFFICERS and FIRE/PARAMEDICS. When registering, please choose either the member or non-member option for your role. If you are a current ITOA member, you must be logged into the site to receive the member rate.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This two day, 16-hour Instructor course has been designed to train Police Officers and Firefighter/Paramedics as instructors to teach Active Threat Rescue Task Force skill sets.  The focus of this program will be to provide the knowledge, specialized tactical skills, and associated materials to develop, implement, and teach Rescue Task Force End User courses to Police Officers and Firefighter/Paramedics at their respective departments.

  • RESCUE TASK FORCE OPERATIONAL CONCEPT: Police Officers and Firefighter/Paramedics operating together during an Active Threat situation rapidly performing critical lifesaving medical procedures and triage under the force protection of law enforcement.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Police Officers should be certificated Rapid Deployment Instructors and/or responsible for conducting Rapid Deployment training at their departments. Firefighter/Paramedics should be responsible for conducting training at their departments.

Not Required but: IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT POLICE & FIRE TRAINERS FROM THE SAME VILLAGE / TOWN / DISTRICT ATTEND TOGETHER TO MAINTAIN CONTINUITY OF TRAINING, POLICY AND PROCEDURES DURING CRITICAL INCIDENTS.

    COST: Current ITOA Member = $325.00 / Non-Members = $365.00 – Includes a One Year Membership

      ABOUT ITOA

      This is an opportunity for tactical officers to gather together to compare ideas and experiences. Through education and networking, it was hoped that high-risk operations requiring the use of a tactical team would be made safer.
