The ITOA cordially invites all Illinois SWAT Team Leaders (or their designee) to a Team Leaders Meeting on Friday, November 1st at ICAT in Decatur, Illinois.
In our efforts to foster Team relationships, training, information sharing, policy and procedure development, mutual-aid assistance, and general tactical team cooperation, the ITOA is very interested in your opinion and suggestions as to how ITOA can better serve SWAT Teams in Illinois.
As ITOA builds out a number of statewide training initiatives and tactical training committees, this will also be a great way to reach out to all the teams and get subject matter expert input and collaboration on these important statewide training initiatives and collaboration with ILETSB.
REGISTER at itoa.org for the SWAT Team Leaders Meeting. There is no cost to attend. After completing a registration form, you will receive a registration confirmation email.
If you have not yet submitted your team’s information to be included in the ITOA TACTICAL TEAM DIRECTORY PROJECT – please do so by following the simple direction below:
Please send the following basic contact information for your team to: admin@itoa.org
- Team Name – Please include your team’s full name and abbreviation, if applicable
- Area of Operation: City / County / Region
- Team Leader: Name / Rank / email / Phone Number
- Assistant Team Leader: Name / Rank / email / Phone Number
The directory will be available to all participating teams, to help gain situational awareness as to each team’s name, area of operation, leadership, contact information, team structure and capabilities.
I would also ask that you pass this letter on to any agency that you know who has a tactical team and might be interested in joining this group.
Once we get a baseline of team information, a much more comprehensive list of questions will be sent to each team to help us build out the Tactical Team data base. This data base will be password protected – available only to participating teams and state law enforcement executives. The list will not be available to the public and will not be shared / nor sold to any vendor or other organization. It will be a “living” document that can be edited as needed.
I thank you for your assistance and look forward to communicating and collaborating with all of you.
Best Regards – Ed
Edward F. Mohn
