Location: Hoffman Estates Police Department

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The focus of this one day, 8-hour program is to certify your department / team’s marksman to conduct end user armorer level maintenance and repair on their Accuracy International Rifles.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Students who complete this course will be able to perform in-field safety checks, strip and reassemble the magazine and bolt, remove and replace the barrel, strip and reassemble the action, assemble and clean the trigger, strip and reassemble the chassis and strip and reassemble the cheek piece.

COURSE GOALS: The goals of this program are to provide foundational knowledge to maintain and do most major repairs to your weapon system to keep it operational.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: AI rifle, duty ammunition, eye and hearing protection. You will have the opportunity to confirm your zero at the end of the class. Tool Kit consisting of a small hammer, metric allen key Set (1.5 – 6mm) parts tray, punch set, bench block, and tools for scope and base removal. Cleaning Supplies: Q-tips, rags, oil, gun scrubber

* All required tools will be provided to students. Students are responsible for providing their own rifles. Feel free to bring your own tool sets.

COURSE INSTRUCTORS / MATERIAL: The course instructor is an Accuracy International Certified Armorer from Mile High Shooting out of Colorado, the only United States Authorized Accuracy International Dealer and Armorer. An armorer’s manual will be provided to each student for the rifle they are attending the class with.

A lunch break will be provided. Students are responsible for their own lunch.

$300.00 for current ITOA members
