ITOA Range Day

Date: March 28, 2025    1100-1600 Hours

Location: Springfield, IL

The ITOA, in partnership with the Springfield Police Department, is hosting a range day for ITOA members. Instructors have put together an athletic and dynamic course for students to experience. Participants will need to bring a minimum of 250 rounds of pistol ammo, duty pistol, duty belt, body armor, eye and ear protection.

Course Description: 

Participants will be provided with an in-depth perspective into the relationship of their pistol grip, sights, and manipulation of the trigger. Athletic Movement combined with Fast and Accurate shooting are important factors in Officer Survival. Students will be provided with dynamic courses of fire, allowing them to take an athletic approach to shooting. 

Goals & Objectives: 

• Enhance Officer’s Survivability

• Increase Officers understanding of shooting fundamentals and speed

• Incorporate Athleticism into shooting, and how to safely move and handle a weapon 

• Apply new skills in a series of shooting stages

Course Prerequisites: 

Officers must be able to manipulate and handle their weapon in a manner which is safe in the environment.

Requirements:

• Ammunition- 250 Rds. Pistol (Minimum)

• Duty Pistol, Holster and Duty Belt with spare magazines

• Ballistic vest

• Eye & Ear Protection

• Appropriate apparel for the weather

Cost and Registration:

Current ITOA Members: $10.00

Non-Members (includes a one-year ITOA Membership): $40.00

**If you are not a current ITOA member, you must choose the non-member option. Membership is required to attend this event.

Refund Policy (effective from 2/10/25)

The Illinois Tactical Officers Association (ITOA) refund policy for those who cancel their attendance at an ITOA paid event is as follows:

• A full refund will be issued if cancellation occurs at least 30 calendar days prior to the event.
• If cancelled 7-29 calendar days prior to the event, a 50% refund will be issued.
• Cancellations less than 7 calendar days prior to the event will not be granted a refund.

Additionally, a registrant who does not attend the event for which they are registered will not receive a refund.
