COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This three day, 24-hour course is designed to focus on providing officers with the knowledge and skills they will need to improve their firearms capabilities in high risk, critical incidents.
Instructor Joe Rhoades is the former Lead Firearms Instructor at the Mid-South Institute of Combat Shooting. For 16 years, Joe has personally trained thousands of officers and military personnel from Tier 1 Special Operations Forces from all branches of the US Military. Additionally, he has taught personnel and teams from other US government agencies, as well as those from friendly foreign nations.
Officers attending the course should already possess basic Tactical Pistol / Rifle fundamental firearms handling and employment skills – THIS IS NOT A BASIC FIREARMS COURSE.
The course will take place entirely indoors. Please bring appropriate range attire. Eye protection, ear protection and body armor are mandatory.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
- Enhance the officer’s ability to perform Live Fire pistol and rifle techniques and tactics.
- To allow students the opportunity to participate in realistic live fire drills that will enhance their capabilities to respond to Active Threat situations beyond that of the basic level.
COURSE PREREQUISITES:
Be proficient in performing live fire protocols and skill sets. Be proficient and familiar with the fundamental operation of the duty pistol and police tactical rifle.
Ammunition Requirement: 650 Rds. Pistol / 650 Rds. Rifle
(Ammo requirements are minimums, more is preferred)
