COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The student law enforcement officer will be supplied with a loaner AR-15 type carbine and a tool kit that allows for complete disassembly, reassembly, and functional review of this rifle system. Beyond the standard armorer issues of the one-day basic class, the instruction will also include gas tube and barrel removal and replacement, stock, buffer tube removal and replacement, and a full explanation of the lower receiver fire control group and upper receiver and component parts.

The loaner rifles and tool kits will be provided by master armorer Greg Lee, who will be joining our training cadre.

Students may bring their own rifle/carbine for inspection and comparison, but the class will use the factory rifles for the instructional issues, unless otherwise authorized.

*This class is non-refundable. Agencies may change the attending officer with notification to ITOA.
