The Illinois Tactical Officers Association, in cooperation with Friction Point Solutions, is pleased to offer this training opportunity:
Tactical Urban Operation Planning and Considerations Course (3 Days)
Dates: May 4 - 6, 2026
Times: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm each day
Locations:
Day 1: North Chicago Police Department (1850 Lewis Ave., Chicago, IL)
Days 2 and 3: Outdoor locations; addresses provided on Day 1
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for effective integration of tools into High-Risk Tactical Urban Operations. Attendees will be trained to utilize the full spectrum of K9 capabilities during search operations and to communicate efficiently with supplementary assets such as air platforms, SUAS resources, perimeter officers, other agencies, and additional K9 units. The objective is to inform tactical team members, K9 handlers, SUAS operators, and tactical team leaders—who may support these operations—on methods for collaborating effectively to optimize operator safety and improve the probability of mission success.

- To identify the capabilities of a canine team during tracking/area search operations.
- Urban Search Considerations
- Integration of Assets (SUAS, ATAK, Tactical Team, etc.)
- Actions on Objective and React to Contact Drill
Cost and Registration:
4 Officer Tac Team - $1700
Includes One (1) K9 + Handler, 2 Tactical Team Members, and One (1) Drone Operator.

ITOA Refund Policy (effective from February 10, 2025)
The Illinois Tactical Officers Association (ITOA) refund policy for those who cancel their attendance at an ITOA paid event is as follows:
- A full refund will be issued if cancellation occurs at least 30 calendar days prior to the event.
- If cancelled 7-29 calendar days prior to the event, a 50% refund will be issued.
- Cancellations less than 7 calendar days prior to the event will not be granted a refund.
Additionally, a registrant who does not attend the event for which they are registered will not receive a refund.
