in cooperation with the ILETSB Executive Institute and ICAT, is pleased to invite you to attend the


ITOA SWAT Team Leaders Meeting

Date: Friday, May 1, 2026

Time: 10am – 2pm

Location: ICAT Training Center

3120 S. Business Route 51 in Decatur, IL 62521.

NOTE: Ensure the address you enter into your GPS device populates to “South” NOT North Rt 51

In our continuing efforts to develop training relationships, information sharing, policy and procedure development, muti-agency assistance, and general training collaboration, the ITOA will be hosting this Illinois SWAT Team Leaders Meeting.

Items on the agenda for the Friday, May 1st meeting include:

  1. Review and discuss the SWAT Definitions List.
  2. Review & discuss SWAT Team mission list / equipment & capabilities list
  3. Review & discuss ITOA’s Basic 2- Week SWAT Class Curriculum & Schedule.
  4. Discuss the development of ITOA SWAT Commanders & Tactical TL’s Courses.
  5. Introduce and discuss ITOA chapter collaboration with MTU’s.  
  6. Discuss the training options for training at the ICAT Facility & at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Indiana.
  7. Review and discuss SWAT specialties certifications & qualifications List
  8. Introduce the ITOA’s Master Firearms Instructor Program
  9. Report on the ITOA’s new operating WEBSITE / program
  10. Review the speakers for the 2026 ITOA training conference.
  11. Open Question / Answer / Discussion Session 

After completing a registration form, you will receive a registration confirmation email. Lunch will be provided – please remember to choose Ham or Turkey sandwich for lunch!


ABOUT ITOA

This is an opportunity for tactical officers to gather together to compare ideas and experiences. Through education and networking, it was hoped that high-risk operations requiring the use of a tactical team would be made safer.
